Found a clean 69 Coronet 4-door that had a 318, 3-speed column shift. The 318 is seized up, but I have a fresh 383 on the stand. Can I keep the column shift with the 383? Will the 318 linkage rods clear? I just think it'd be cool to run a 4-door with a 383 and the three-on-the-tree.
Street racing is a mystery to most people, but I've got it figured out. If it blows up with a single 4, go dual quads. If that goes, inject it. And fix it fast.

No actual exp with that setup but I'd be surprised if it wasn't doable. I'm sure there were bb/3 speed on the col B bodies. As you know you'd need the correct bell/related pieces. Holler how it turns out & here's a BTT for ya & maybe someone will further clarify

I have the bellhousing with the dual bolt patterns. The trans will be in the same position in relation to the column levers, therefore the linkage rods should fit. The only real difference in the bellhousing is the bolt circle where it bolts to the block. Starter location is not an issue. The only real wild-card is will everything work with the headers? I'm willing to modify a primary tube to make it work. The 383 is basically stock, so it push comes to shove, I'll go back to cast manifolds. It's not a race car, it'll be a daily driver.
