You block the accumulator with a piece of rod adjust the line pressure screw, remove one check ball, #6 if I remember and enlarge one hole in the transfer plate. That's it. I'll look today. Doug

Agreed 9/16" it ain't likely you'd being going that big on a sep plate hole but it sorta looked like 9/16 in the pic so I wanted to clarify live every 24 hour block of time like it's your last day on earth

I'm not sure how much a .009 bigger drill is going to affect the desired performance. The article is confusing about removing a check ball in the upper half , but mentions a cup and spring or ball and spring but must remain ??? It's been a while since I've had a valvebody apart ...

And, for the 4000th time, the advice in step #5 to toss the accumulator spring is based on the oldest myth in the Mopar world....DON'T DO IT And, as I stated earlier in this thread, tossing the check ball in step #7 without rear servo mods is inviting severe overlap on manual 1-2 upshifts. John should I adhere to this for a street automatically upshifting in drive normal vb/trans & what about the slight confusion in step 10 (check ball/spring-cup/spring) which one stays/goes?. live every 24 hour block of time like it's your last day on earth

These check balls protect components by limiting fluid flow during application but drop away during release to speed the release. One exception might be plow trucks in which the check balls delay rapid shifts between Drive and Reverse. The INTERNET, the MISinformation superhighway
