I have a decent set of tires already mounted and balanced that I want to use but they came to me with the (ug ) white walls exposed Figured I'd ask here since there must be a few who've dont it... Maybe some black paint on a small brush...or a q-tip No, I dont want to dismount them, turn blackwalls out, remount and rebalance...but thanks for the suggestion

I dont mind reapplying if required. I'll use a couple coats and see how it goes. If I owned the machine I would have flipped them already but I'm not paying $20+/each to flip and balance a set of used tires.

And I saw your original quote, just figured a few bucks to do it 'right' would save you having to re-do it again when the paint starts to flake off and look like crap. Photobucket sucks

Honestly, I've spent more time on this thread than it took me to put 2 coats of black paint on the former white walls. Less than 20 minutes. Touch-ups, if/when needed, will even be less time. I'm happy. Cant you be happy for me?

Is it really that big of a deal to paint over a whitewall? Is it some kind of crime to NOT spend money I dont need to? If you want to send me the $'s I'll buy new tires that I dont really need.
