Sunday I was at the NHRA Division 3 race at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, OH. They were running a bit behind so they were doing the second round of Top Dragster qualifying, and I was announcing when Keith McClennan drove the Koffel's Place "Lake Erie Monster" to a 5.93 at a lifting 222mph. The ET break for Top Dragster is 6.00, so it was thrown out as a DQ, but the entire crew was elated as this has been a goal of The Koffel's place team since day one! Great job for a blown B1 headed wedge engine on a stick!
Congrats to the Koffels and Keith, well done!!!

Nice!! The "Lake Erie Monster" is scheduled to come down to "Magnolia dragway" this summer. Saw it up at Norwalk once, but look forward to seeing it at my home track. Mag is now 1/8th. mile though.

Will probably see a 3.8 or so. Hope he can stop in time. Its a short track.

THat is sooo amazing. He finally took the "old" Firecore Wires off of that thing after , I think four years. Got a fresh set for the next four years..lol.. Great job, Scott and team. Killer driving.
