Is it wrong to give your brother a pat on the back?? I told him I wanted a pump gas 440 to put in my Satellite that would make it run mid 10's.... I'll have to say he knows what he is doing!! The car ran like a champ!! 10:60's off the trailer and all we did at the track was check the timing!!! There is still more in it just didn't have time to play with it today!! Thanks again Bro!!

Great people. Keith is as smart as he is honest. Great to have him as a buddy. He does amazing work and has abundant info on a large quantity of parts.

We were up at Martin for the Mopars at Martin race... As for the combo, it's a .020 over 440 with ported RPM's, 727 trans, 4.10 gears... Nothing exotic just a well thought out combo. This is still a street car that I can put in drive and cruise around in...

Its not bad for a flat tappet pump gas 440 in a fairly heavy car. Good thing is there is more in it with some 60' time work.

Pat,
I ran you Sunday in the white 67 Coronet I built for my wife.
That was a good race, double break out and all. I pedalled and still ran a new best in a new car so not a bad outing.
You went a few more rounds after that if I recall correct??
Keith

Yeah I got down to the last 3 cars, my buddy had the bye run and I was hoping to run him in the final. But I redlighted against that black Cuda (8.68 dial) and he goes .145 and runs 3 under...all I had to do was stay green...still kicking myself on that one.

Our race was the best one I had the whole weekend. I don't know where that 9.48 came from, it ran 9.49 earlier but came back with 9.55 and 9.52...seems like yours liked the air that run also. After that I went two 53's....so much for alky being consistent, I was all over the place.

There were a lot of good close races that weekend!! It wasn't the busiest race I've ever been to but the action was good!!

You guys did a great job this weekend. Not to be a stickler, but I think it's spelled "kudos".

Don't you have some cranks to get for us or something?

No secrets, Scott knows I'm writing about this build so he is keeping quiet. It has a UD640 cam and weighs( I think) 3680 with driver. I might be wrong on the weight and will Scott correct me if I'm wrong.
This car has more in it with only a couple time runs and right into racing we didn't touch anything. Conservative tune on it so it would run without issue.
Cudas to Rod for his catching the spelling LOL!

They should call that UD640 the "Muscle Motors Special" like people refer to the COMP .650" as the "McCandless Special."

Jeez, those are both biga$$ solid cams...

Keith was off a little on the weight... 3610 with driver. Looking forward to being able to play with it a little at TNT some night. 60ft. was 1.55 but the MPH was 127.... I was a little nervous taking it to a race untested but Keith knew what he was doing when he screwed the motor together!! I'm still grinning from ear to ear. Going from 12 teens last year to 10.60's this year!!

I ported the heads specifically to work well with the cam choice, I have yet to see a combination I would use the big Comp grind in though.
Probably hard to see on this screen shot, before and after numbers on my bench,.....
