1968 Road Runner What can I expect to see for suspension "travel" with a ladder bar setup? To achieve the stance I wanted for the car, it is quite low. As such, the ladder bars will enter IN to the body of the car. I have a preliminary "notch" cut out for travel - but I am positive I need to add much more for "travel under launch/load". As many of you may be able to ascertain from the photo's, I don't have much of a clue of what I'm doing - but I started this little "project" back in 1993 at age 28 - and I am just now picking up the pieces again and getting it finished. Everyone - please take study - take a look at what I started 21 years ago and help me quickly mend this mess and let me get my Road Runner back on the chase! Thanks!!! Circled areas in red are where the ladder bars will travel up into the car.

whats the stance of the car??
drop another hole on the front mount.
You need to adj some spring load into the shocks.
why is the diagonal bar mounted wrong ??
I am truckless..

It's just bolted in - can be switched easily. Again, show's you I didn't know what I was doing back then. Car has just sat since then.

What kind of car is this? Sorry roadrunner, reread his post. It was in racing and engine section at first where I thought it belonged? Why did it get moved to general?

'diagonal'
the bearing in the bearing end needs to be mounted vertical, not horizontal.
as the suspension travels up and down the hime end/spherical rod bearing will bind because it'll be 'bending' sideways instead of 'turning' on the bearing.
I have mine mounted horizontal... I have PLENTY of travel but if it was a big travel suspension then yes it would need to be vertical

What do you mean "the bearing in the bearing end"?

I think your setup looks pretty good. If you got that far your doing better then many people I know. You can notch the floor more if you need to. I like the bracket but I also always check for binding throughout the travel. Make sure you set the shocks at the recommended install distance then set ride hight with the lower shock mount. Nice Car!
