Run away! Palco ebody door panels suck. I could believe how bad they were when I saw them on a 70 cuda. They don't look right Feel right Fit right Sound right.
I am sure they don't smell right either.
I had them (70 Challenger coupe) and have to agree. Installed Metro panels and LOVE them. Don't know if Metro ever produced convert panels though. Otherwise.....like stated.....Palco may better than your originals.

ok BUT Metro doesn't make convertible rear panels
Then find good used originals, or and get some rough originals and get them repaired/recovered by Just Dashes. I simply would NOT use Palcos under any circumstances, cheapens the entire interior IMO.

Would some of you who are using the palcos please put some photos up? Everytime this subject comes up people go off the deep end saying how bad they are but there is never any photos to go with it. What doesn't work for you, might work for someone else. As long as they half fit, a person can modify them to suit their tastes or change the appearance. No different than a fiberglass hood that has to be re-worked. Thanks.

I think it would be good to see a comparison between the Palco and Metro panels. I believe those are the only two on the market. The Palcos have been around for quite a long time. I'm not sure if they have revised the panels over the years. I believe the Metco panels are closer to the originals - they're made overseas and labor/machine costs are much less.

There's nothing they could do to revise the parts to make them more like originals, the limitations lie within the type of raw material used and the thermo-forming manufacturing process itself.

trim parts r going to make challenger convertible rear door panels they will be hear in 6 months thanks
Very interesting!
Here's some close-up photos of the Palco rear panels I took out of my '70 Challenger Convertible last year that the previous owner installed. These show the serious problem areas. I don't know if this is a result of the manufacturing process, or just neglect. I really hate them. I ended up buying the Metro door and seat back panels. They are OUTSTANDING. I am hoping that someone, some day makes the convertible rears. I do have a pair of original rears, but they'll need a bit of work before I can put them in the car. I'd gladly pay $$$ for NEW convertible rear panels that are made as good as the Metro panels. IMO - the Palco panels are only acceptable for a "driver" car. However, they fit poorly, and just about everything about them is down right wrong.
