Aside from the obvious grease fittings...Where else is advised to grease up or lube? Everything is rubber on the suspension except for the UCA bump stops and the Swaybar bushings, those are both Poly's

~Should I lube the eccentric bolts for the UCA's to make wheel alignment a little easier (at least the first time setup)?

~How about the pivot shafts for the LCA's into the K-Member?

~Should I apply Anti-seize compound on the Torsion bar bolts

Everything else is pretty much gonna cranked down with a torque wrench, with cotter pins.

One thing to note, We bought the Strut Rods from Firm Feel, and I sent the guy an email about it but haven't heard back yet. The old struts rods had a hole cross drilled to insert a cotter pin on the front threaded part. The new ones are not cross threaded but they come with jamb nuts. I doubt they will go anywhere.....right?

(1) slather em up (2) them too (3) that might be a GOOD idea (4) You should be good, they ain't going anywhere

Torsion bar seals are giving me a run for the money...I read the archives and someone suggested installing the rubber seals outside of the car....vertically....I am gonna try that but heat up the seals with a heat gun and a MIG welding glove...

I'd slide em on the vertical tbar outside the car. I dont know about heating em, I think I'd just use some lube & force it over the hex & trying not to stretch it any more than needed

Ahh success...much easier...

Now for my brainfart...I am staring at the LCA....and I THINK the torsion bar goes in when the LCA is closest to the subframe...is that right? Or is it like it is in the picture...at its lowest point..I'd hate to put it back together and find out the hard way

You have it correct with the LCA pulled down. Just remember to leave the pivot shaft nuts loose until the car is lowered back down. Then tighten the nuts up. This prevents the bushings from getting into a bind and causing premature failure.

Hey thanks for that Wes. It's gettin there...I got the torsion bars in and the UCA/LCA installed now its time for the spinle. The UCA is from FirmFeel and I have the Upper ball joint cranked to 150 pounds like its supposed to be but the slot for the cotter pin is barely visible. Should I remove the included washer? I dont think the nut is gonna crank another revolution , its gonna be over 270ft lbs to get this slot open.

The picture is blurry but that dark spot on the castle nut is all thats visible

150 sounds more like the spec of the upper joint into the upper arm itself. Don't recall the nut spec being that high. And I would maybe remove the washer as the hole is not close to getting the cotter pin in there.

You might drill a new hole for the cotter pin or a thinner high grade washer might be an option. For sure dont crank another turn to 270 lbs. Definitely loosen the UCA back up before you set the Tbar height & have it barely snug when you drive it on the rack or make SURE he loosens it, You want the UCA's loose also when YOU set the tbar height. With your weight in barbells in the dr seat set the height to where the wheels/tires look right to YOU in the wheelwells. Tell him not to change the height but he can even it up slightly so both sides are the same height if desired. If you depend on the shop to set the height alot of times they set it too low

I put FF upper arms on my car this winter and had the same problem. So I called Dick and asked about the washers, he said they are included for a drum brake spindle (which is evidently thinner where the ball joint goes through), and to just leave them off.

In order to know what you want, you'll probably have to find out what you don't want.

A-HA.....Alright...good deal...I'll spin the nut back off and remove that washer.

As for the alignment I am doing it myself. I have a LongAcre Digital Alignment tool. Supposedly gets you where you need to be within 1/10 of a degree. I can't trust any alignment shops around here since they are too dependent on computer telling them what to do. Plus, I can do my alignment and charge guys in my car club 100 bucks to do theirs Win Win

Great minds think alike . Be sure & get it up on thin tiles/sheets as needed & string it to get it level/tires aired up/half tank of gas/your weight on dr seat/ride height set first/set toe in & drive it several miles to let suspension settle/recheck ride height/lca stud nuts/uca nuts barely snug till done. If you are already hip to this just disregard

Oh I am hip but having never done it before, I always like a refresher course on how others do it...heard you place two tiles on the floor with grains of salt between them and they act like roller bearings

No need to lube the pivot shafts that insert into the K member, they do NOT move once tightened .

Not sure if you're done yet, but I slide the boots on by placing a socket of similar diameter on the end of the torsion bar ( of course, holding it vertical ), then slid the boot over the socket and then the boot just kept on going over the corners at the end.

Also, make sure you don't tighten the LCA pin nuts until the weight of the car is totally on your torsion bars.....
