I bought a new manual brake master cylinder for my '74 Javelin, but can't source the matching pushrod. And I already sold the original pb master cylinder and booster, so I can't use or modify my old pushrod. Any ideas where to source the right pushrod, or one that I could modify to work, or what material I could make one out of that will be safe?

Sad to say this build is taking so long (2 years...)but life is life...anyway, we aim to have this car ready for test and tune sessions soon.

Might want to try Master Power Brakes. I bought an adjustable push rod from them about 10 years ago

Being that you sold the other rod you pretty much
need to buy a adjustable... I make my own but I cut
the hoop off of the original and weld it to a 3/8 dia
pushrod with the ball end on it... they are hard enough
and have plenty of length.. I usually have a pile
of them laying around

I like your cut and weld idea, but how do you determine the right length?

I just stick the round end of the push rod in the master
and the hoop on the pedal and mark where they would
cross.. pull it down, cut and tack it, then check it..
if its right then I weld it up
