Nobody has actually found a hard limit on a Magnum block at all that I'm aware of.
Not looking for a failure point, more so a level where splitting a cylinder wouldn't be a worry.

Anyone know how much horsepower a 360 Magnum block can safely handle. It would be 1/2 filled and have main studs. Is there a strength difference between them and a LA 360 block?
Ask on dakotart.com 1 guy found the limit and spit the block in half running a turbocharger.

I'm not sure where the limit is either…. and I don't WANT to find it personally. In the 700hp neighborhood with mine for a long time. (133.65 mph @ 4190#) Dyno said 705 rwhp - but the timeslips say otherwise. Factory main bolts, 2-bolt block, no fill….. turbo. I think the Magnum blocks are stronger than people give them credit for.

What are your goals, then?
I'm running a stroked 318 magnum at a bit less than 500 on a regular basis, and I sprayed a 175 shot at it for about 50 passes when it was in my truck. It's now living happily in my a-body and getting ready to race more this season.

Not sure exactly how much horsepower it would make. Have a set of the new race 48° W2s (47cc), Jesel 1.6 rockers, and a K1 4.125 stroke crank. Been thinking about building a mild solid roller cammed 419 (around 11.5:1) using a 5.9 Magnum block but have been concerned with some of what Ive read with people claiming split cylinders at under 600 horse and I really dont want to buy a R-3 block. Id guess It would be over 600 horse based on this thread https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Number=6135034

The 600HP number is a myth. I know of many that are running well above that mark on a regular basis, and those engines get the snot kicked out of them with no ill effects.
Build it, half fill it, and run that [Edited by Moparts - Family Friendly Site - Keep it clean].
Good to know, I had concerns. I saw a 360 block on racing junk that had all 8 cylinders sleeved and had 4.125 bores. Seemed cool but all that machine work would probably be close to the cost of a R-3 block.
