Oh
I have a 69 RR and in the lower dash pad by the ash tray there are some small burn marks in the vinyl. Is there any way to repair, cover them up so you don't notice them?? Or do I just need to find a Nice one to install???
They are very small and not to many burns so I wasn't sure if a light sand/blend and paint might cover them up and not be noticeable.

Getting close to finishing up the dash assembly and thought I would ask you guys.
Thanks for any info.
David

I'm assuming they aren't too deep, you could redye it, I'd do the top pad at the same time so they match.

Correct, they are not deep. The top dash pad is a New one from BE&A and it is installed already.
Thanks David

I dyed my upper dash and it looked nice. Not sure if you would take away the grain by sanding. I have a couple lower pads that are pretty nice if you decide to buy one. What did you think of the pad you bought from BEA? I am thinking of buying one from them myself unless someone can tell me if my pad can be fixed or not.

I like the dash pad and think it looks good and has a nice fit. I bought 2 at the same time and they are both the same. 1 for this RR and 1 for the next project. If you look close at the photo of the dash you can see the burn marks above the ashtray or click on the attachment to see a bigger photo.
