I am working on getting a section of brake line off the Charger,,,,
it is a bit siezed up,,,,i have it soaking with some penetrating oil.....
Is there any problem applying some heat,,,eg,,from a small propane torch ? just to heat it and see if it will budge,,, (ie any FIRE HAZZARD here ? )
I dont care about the line too much,,,i am going to install new lines,,,,but need to remove a section as it screws into the "T" valve portion on top of the rear axle....
thanks,,,,

brake fluid burns REAL good ! if you are going to install new lines, just cut the line at the fitting junction and use a 6 point socket or wrench to remove the fitting.

I have used a small torch head many times on frozen brake line fittings. All it needs is a little heat, and will come apart like new.

I use a torch on brake fittings all the time at work. Yes brake fluid will burn but it's pretty tame and easily blown out. I usually keep my blow gun with me when I'm doing it. The biggest concern is if your doing it at the end of a flex hose. They like to pop when they get hot. And don't assume that it safe if it hasn't poped by the time you remove the heat. I've had them pop well after the heat was removed.

since you are replacing the lines, just cut them, take off the brass T, take it over to your bench vice.

Agreed. The bolt holding it to the axle is also the breather vent, so clean soak it with brake cleaner or something similar while you're at it.

Parts I seek: driver doorpanel, 65 Sport Fury, prefer black, needs to be 7-8 on 10 scale, might buy set 16" x 6" Dodge truck wheel(s), from early 70s?, takes 9" dogdish - need for a research job so cheaper is better. 69-73 C-body caliper brackets and/or splashields Send a PM.
