I bought this columm some time ago. It is from a 68 Dart and was supposed to be from a power steering car. I was moving some parts around and happened to lay it next to a manual column I have that is out of a 70 Dart. The lower end where you can see the shaft looks pretty much the same between the two so now I am wondering if this column is in fact a manual column. What do you think from looking at the picture?

It looks to be a power steering equipped shaft . . . shorter length from the insert weld-joint to the coupler. Manual gear input shafts are also shorter in length and larger in diameter, which in turn requires a different coupler and a totally longer lower shaft by 3". PM me if you need parts. I manage a steering column restoration business.
