shaggy1 OP member S Joined: Mar 2013 Posts: 30 So.IL.	Does anyone make a stencil for the bumblebee stripe for a 70 dart? If not can someone give the dimensions? I found the vinyl kits but need a specific color, so figured I would just paint it. Thnks

Most of the ones I looked at seemed to be that the stripe was about as wide as the side marker lite was. I gave a pic of a few to the guy whao painted the car and he painted the stripe on. Ron

Main stripe on deck lid is 7-1/8" wide with 1/4" pinstripes with 3/16" gap. Don't know if it is correct or not, but looks right. We are not purists. Remember the trunk part of the stripe is NOT just straight across the trunk.

I thought the stipe on the quarters wouldn't ne to hard to replicate, since they are about the width of the marker light and follow the body line. However, the trunklid part is a different story. I know it isn't straight across just don't know how much to angle it.

However, first, I'd like to get some information from you. Is the car already painted? Do you plan on clearing over the stripe color as well as the body color? If so, then you'd be better off with a paint mask kit. That way you pain the stripe color first. Cover it with the mask and then shoot the rest of the car. That way is a LOT less taping than the other way around.

Yes, I can make it in any color vinyl that is available. As far as orange goes, there are no metallic orange vinyls, so keep that in mind.
