I've let the St.Louis Area crowd know about it.
I emailed 70+ people the flyer to let them know it was going on and most of my close buddies say they're going to try to attend.
It's a Mopar race/show that's not too far of a drive.
Kayse wants us to go, she wanted to know if her Dart would be ready to race. That's a little too soon for it to be ready to be there. It's less than a month from now and I've got a lot to do on the car yet.
The plan will be for me to trailer my car down to race it and I guess she'll probably race her 06 Charger Daytona.
Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol

They will have a Super Pro class that allows all the bells and whistles. It runs 1/8 mile though. If you and your friends would like to know more about the track and classes. I would suggest you contact Carl Blanton. He is the "senior weasel" on the track forums. I'm sure he would be glad to hear from you and answer any and all questions. Jim

I appreciate the effort you have made to help us out. I will look forward to meeting you. Hope we get the time to bench race a little. Jim

I plan on being there, great track with great people. Not sure if I will drive it or trailer it up there. My drag radials are pretty thin so it might get the trailer treatment.

I can answer the shut down part. I have a raced a 10.60 car there and my car when it ran 11.40s. Its short but I didn't have any problem shutting down. Both cars have aftermarket brakes though.
It was however an eye opener compared to the 1/2 mile of uphill shutdown we have in Tulsa.

NHRA accepted. And as Clark stated it is somewhat short but I have seen 275+ top fuel cars make 1/4 mile passes there in the past. If you have s suspension car the shut area is OK. Guys without suspension say it has a bump or two in it.
My old car ran 10.5 @ 126 with discs on the front and drums on the rear. No problems shutting down. If someone were to have an issue. There is additional length it just ins't paved.

We're driving down on Friday during the day. A few buddies are driving down Friday evening. We ended up making motel reservation in Pittsburg KS at the Super 8. Looks like the weather should be good Saturday, forecast is 64 degrees and partly cloudy.
Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol
