Guys ,

I'm looking for suggestions on where to purchase a quality car cover from for a early B body. The cover will only be used for indoor purposes.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

thanks Billy

For indoor only I would think a cheapie would suffice. There'd be no rain & no breezes that could whip a cover & abrade the paint. No need to even tie it down. Just a cheap cover to keep the dust from settling down on your pride & joy

I prefer 100% cotton as it's easier to wash and get clean. Some of the "hi tech fabrics" don't lend themselves to cleaning when the need arises.

I bought a cheap cover for the Challenger and only used it once. When I saw the scratches it left on the tail panel trim, it will never be used again.

I've bought a few California brand covers and never regretted it.

I recently bought a California Cover, and I guess i am the unlucky one. Paid $550 for their best one. I was told if ANYTHING went wrong with it, just send it back and "we'll replace it with a new one. Not fix it". That was for five years. In less than a year a thread started unraveling, and a small hole developed. I was told send it back and we'll see if it's covered under warranty, and it may be fixed "at a small cost to you". I got nowhere when I tried to argue it, so now I have duct tape on the underside covering the small hole in my less than year old $550.00 cover. Mine has been treated gently too. Stays in shade; not left on when super windy, and I am careful when removing it so it doesn't snag anywhere.

I agree with the others that say a cheap one will be fine as long as it is just an indoor dust cover and won't get any breeze under it. Maybe a "Budge" cover.

Facts are stubborn things.

I wanted a cover just for inside the garage. I bought a cheap cover from Summit (small), fits a 71 Challenger perfect. In my experience, any cover outside is going to harm the paint. You can't stop dust from getting under the cover, and when the wind blows, it just acts like sandpaper. I think cinching the cover tight only makes it worse.

I bought a Covercraft brand 10 years ago for about 80.00, and I've been very happy with it. Has held up very well, with no tears or seams coming apart. I've washed it in a commercial washer. It's a poly cotton blend, and breathable. Been a great cover, and I would highly recommend it.
