I have a 69 340-S with a matching numbers 833 4-speed transmission. What color was the trans from the factory? I believe that the car that I am working on is a virgin vehicle. When disassembling it for restoration the trans was painted motor color blue. Is that correct?

Thanks for the information on the color. Mine looked like it was painted after it was assembled with the engine. It will be blue when it goes together

Are the A-bodies different? The E and B's seem to be natural colored. Or mostly natural with just some overspray on the front of them.

BTW This should be in the Resto section.
