They make both 3 and 4 series 4:30 gear sets.
I went through a lot of searching including calling Strange Engr, Mark Williams, U.S. Gear and several shops the U.S. Gear rep. said to call, it seems like the old Richmond 4.30 Pro gear sets will fit the three sereis carriers and spools, all the regular 4.30 gear sets won't All I can say is good luck on getting it correct the first time I bought a set of U.S. gears from a member on here with a Strange Engr. 35 spline spool that they had used in thier rear end, I run a set of 40 spline Mark Williams axles and it had a set of Pro 5.86 gears on a five sereis Mark Williams aluminum spool. I bought a Moser 4 series 40 spline steel spool and the 4.30 gears wouldn't work on it I bought a used set of Dana OEM 4.56 and put that in the car IHTHs
