Hey gang..
Trying to help a friend locating ( if there is anyone out there ), who reproduces everything needed to install a Shaker setup ( 6bbl ) on a '70 Challenger. I see AMD reproduces the hood?

Cheers,
Troy

There are several places that make everything required.
The better question is who make the better parts available.

Here are a few in no particular order.

There is Ben Snobar, http://shakerhood.com/

Gean Gregory is another,

An older thread that discusses some of it.

Terry McCann/ Mccannix on here would be who needs to chime in here.

Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol

I got two complete hemi hoods w/ shaker kit from Art at sixpackperformance.com & think he uses Gene Gregory's stuff.
They turned out great & I was really pleased with the quality.
I think I read on a thread here that Gene is not reproducing his
shaker stuff anymore, but don't know if this is true. I'm sure someone
who knows will chime in. Art is in New Mexico. Here's his website
link www.sixpackperformance.net

Click on the link and you'll get some answers from that older thread.
You have to mix and match these days to get a good looking assembly to sit on the engine.
Quite sure Art uses mostly Gene Gregory's stuff with the exception of the grills as Snobar is the only game in town these days for those.
Same with the 4 barrel bases and round lid, Snobar is the only one to offer those.
Hemi and 6 pak lids from either vendor are of equal quality, but I'm not even sure if Gene offers lids any more.
The Hemi and 6 pak bases from both are about the same quality, both having real thick bridges which doesn't really mean a thing.
Genes studs seem to pop out of his bases occasionally, poorer projection weld than factory offerings,... Ben tacks his unlike factory so less chance of that happening.
Gene makes a better scoop in my opinion but I heard his supplier recently stopped and Gene had to turn else where.
I have always heard AAR makes a pretty accurate scoop these days but have never seen them.
I like Genes adapter better because it has the more correct definition but Ben has a more accurate looking bellcrank and swivel.
Gene's bellcrank can someimes be seen spotwelded back too far on the adapter, and both adapters have several inconsistencies verses real ones but they will not affect function.
Hot/cold doors are about the same from each but if piecing a unit together, I would buy Dale Tuels doors and cables as you cant beat the price.
I did like the late Fritz cables though.
Dale offers a seal with glue that has to be glued together...for a few bucks more Snobars is much the same but already joined.
That is just one persons' opinion dealing with this stuff in the past, although I am no expert on the matter.
