I'd be interested to see what kind of compression those pistons will give you. Not easy to find 383 pistons that have a decent compression ratio.

I'll be handing my motor off to the builder in March. Will be doing a standard rebuild but want best of components. My question is does anyone put a quality complete kit together less the camshaft, lifters, and springs? Or can someone direct me to someone who kits these type of things? This is a stock rebuild, but I'd like forged pistons, Melling pump and chain. Thanks a TON Moparts!!
Your engine builder should be able to get you everything you need. If not, we do a lot of engine kits to varying degrees. Are you looking for crank, rods, pistons, rings, bearings, gaskets, etc., or just some of those things? There is no forged off the shelf 383 piston that has the compression height to give you decent compression and quench. We just change the C/H on a shelf piston from Diamond to get what we need after the block has been machined.

Or get the Speed Pro 2315 pistons and 915 heads.

Dan beat me to it , I was going to tell you to contact this guy and he will set you up with exactly what you need.
As an FYI , if you want a REAL 10.0 compression 383 it requires a zero deck piston and a head with 80cc combustion chamber . I would do as someone above mentioned and build it with 915's if you want stock look or a closed chamber Alum head .
Have the block squared THEN get your piston made .
