Looking to put my new 505 stroker in a C body. Everything I built previously went in B or E bodies, and I have had numerous bad experiences with DEEP pans so I took to using the 6 quart hemi pan the last few builds to get that extra quart and 1/2 pickup but still have a factory appearing shallow-ish pan.

C body pans have that notch to clear the steering so I am pretty sure the hemi pan doesnt fit? I see one of the Milidon deep pans does list it fits a C body, but like I said I am not a fan of super deep, not a fan of the gold anodized, etc. I do like the fabbed aluminum look like of the 440 Source one it looks the same shape and size of the Milidon but they do not specifically say it will fit a C body.

Anyone know does the Hemi style or 440 source aluminum deep pan fit a C body? Anyone know of any other options other than the super deep gold Milidon that fits a C body?

I run the larger E-body, Hemi pan in my Fury, you need to cut a section out of the frame for oil pan clearance. while the engine is out it is a real easy mod.

I was told by Milodon that the A-body one would fit when I asked. The reason I asked was because the stock C-body pan is an easy fix for swapping a BB into an A-body. A C pan has the same idler arm relief in it that a BB A-body needs. I figured it should work in reverse ie use an A-body pan in a C.

They were WRONG...

Well not completely wrong. It did fit, sort of, if not being able to turn right wasn't an issue.

After we fabbed a notch in the sump so the idler arm had somewhere to go my 7 qt pan is now probably 6.5.
