My 4.7 dtar5ts hard when it is just off dead cold. First start in the AM great, drive to the market for a couple items and it cranks without trying to start. We hacve tested the fule pump an it gets 60 pounds with three clicks of the ignotion switch. If I press down on the gas, it will start after a few revolutions. I am frustrated. Reset all the error codes (there were none) and it is better but not fixed. HELP!!!

Idle air control Valve in the T-body packed with carbon?
Remove and disassemble the T-body with air intake cleaner. JMHO

When was the last time it had a tune up?
4.7L engines go through plugs and need changed every 30K.

I agree with Todd. Clean the throttle body and IAC motor. Ron
