I just pulled out the plugs on my six pack rb engine and discoverd that the number 8 cylider plug had oil burnt in to it.... What could cause this ? I remember refilling some more oil in the engine this year so i whas thinking maybe the pcv valve whas the issue becas i have no shield for in in the valve cover and shore the number 8 is close to the inlet of the center carbs inlet for the pcv but then i should have had more than that plug whit oil on it Can it be a piston/ring damedg on just one cylinder.... or the intake gasket leak on just that one or the valve seal going bad on that only or the plug going bad ???? Pleas give me your experience guyīs !!!!!!!!

Could be a bad valve seals, sucking oil past the intake gasket, piston rings or even a cracked intake port. The first two would be the easiest to check for.

Put a baffle( at least covering one inch each side of the valve itself ) under the PVC hole first Then do a leak down test or put a new plug in that hole and go drive it softly for 20 to 30 kilometers, no WOT Then look at the plug when you get back If it is still oil soak look deeper

Cab i did a cylinder leak down test on that 8 cylinder whit the oil folded plug (cold engine) and i had 25% leak and also tested nr 4 whith same result so i gues i can ruel out a piston/ring damedg now
I will cover the pcv valve inside the valve cover as you surgest and i whas going to do that anyway and put in new plugs and see what it looks like after a test drive later on this year becas a have alot of snow around me right now Thanks for the tipīs

When I ran one I used the Ford type breather w/the foam and pcv valve inside of it to get more distance and was better than the pcv shoved in the v-cover...............
