jump around and go ping, pong and you put your finger on the hoses and you can feel it,the car doesnt overheat, runs great, new radiator, and thermostate, and i had it running about 1 hour with cap off and added antifreeze/water when it would burpout the top of radiator, but when you rev it up the top and bottom radiator hoses suck in,and the pinging and pooping noises in the hosses dont come until the duster is warm @ 180 idiling ANY INFO WOULD BE APPRECIATED THANKS mopardiebold@aol.com

If you don't have a spring in the lower hose, then you need to put one in it to keep it from collapsing. If your local parts store does not carry a hose that fits with a spring, just buy the cheapest hose (with a spring) that is the same od and pull the spring out and put it in your existing hose.

go to a welding shop & ask them for 2 lengths of a non ferrous welding rod & make your own.

this noise it makes....is it water?

or is there some kind of mechanical metalic sound?

if its sucking the hose flat,it could be cavitating the impeler on the water pump and putting a lot of air bubbles in the system, that might be whats jumping the hose around?

I have seen bearings go bad on pumps and the impeller on the wp would hit the t-cover when reving the engine up,

I have seen rusted pieces of spring in the wp wraped around the impeller also

Is the heater hooked up?

are you sure you burped all the water out of the block?

can you move the shaft of the water pump any?

are you sure its not leaking water from the weep hole or else where and getting low on water?,heating up could boil/perculate the low water and cause steam pockets in the heads and girggle in the hoses

but not show signs of overheating

Do the spring's go from end to end on the hose? Gotta be hard to collapse a hose with a spring in it

The sound you hear is the coolant boiling in the block.

Drain the cooling system, remove the block drains and flush the block - you may have to back flush from the drain plugs depending on what you get when you pull the plugs.

Flush the rad and then add coolant - 60 % water to 40% antifreeze & a bottle of water wetter.
Make sure the t-stat has a weep hole in it, if not drill an 1/8 in hole in it so the system will self bleed when filling. Be sure to have a good radiator cap as well.

Come back and see us when you have that done and let us know the results.

Did you???? Drain the cooling system, remove the block drains and flush the block - you may have to back flush from the drain plugs depending on what you get when you pull the plugs.

Until you do this we can't help you anymore except keep guessing...

cut and add a flush tee in one of the heater hoses

you can open it with it runing and bleed it that way

how does it run?

I'd put a radiator pumper upper on the filler neck(when hot) & pump it to 12-15 lbs & see if you have a slight head gasket leak letting combustion gasses into the coolant.

kinda what I was a thinkin.....

head gasket leak from comb chamber into water passage

a leak test of the cooling system is in order

and I would do a compression and leak down test on it also

maybe your cap is leting some presure off and its not loosing water, just air out the cap vent after it hits the cap rating

is it bubbling in the recovery tank any while its doing it?

maybe bypass the heater hose to isolate the engine and heater core, then see if it still does it

kep us posted

kinda what I was thinking also

head gasket leaking into the water passage and venting at the cap, could explane why its not loosing water and still runs good

a pressure test of the cooling system is in order

I would do a comp and leak down test on the cyls also, just to eliminate head gaskets

might bypass the heater hose to isolate the engine from heater core while your at it

keep us posted
