One for Eastwood out of the can, here.

Maybe you're a visual type of guy.

Brushed on from a qt. can:
Eastwood ceramic requires a hardener.

I haven't used the eastwood paint, does look like it sprays on nice. I've been happy with everything I have bought from them.

But I can mix, spray and clean the gun before I can spray 1 coat out of a spray can

I used eastwoods ceremic paint with hardened mixed in. Sprayed with HVLP.

Looks great, doesn't fade or stain. But it's brittle. If you take your engine apart for an intake swap, head swap, water pump change etc, the paint will crack and flake off the hardware.

Otherwise, looks great and I'm happy with it. Haven't found a spray bomb yet that doesn't stain or lift when gas, oil, or antifreeze hits it. The eastwoods stuff wipes right off like the BC/CC on a modern car

I've used both Bill Hirsch and Plastikote and side by side saw no difference.

Yellow Fever,
Could you post up a picture of the Hirsh paint?
Ive used his turquoise and loved it! Its lasted for many years and still looks awesome. Did you thin it or just shoot from the can?

Then you haven't used Plasticote; I have had some extensive leaking issues with my 6 pack that took me some time to resolve; the manifold was sitting with gas in the pockets several times...and some times a while before I noticed; not a mark.

I dunno, this is the NEW mopar paint. It's held up well. I used white engine paint as a primer, then I hit it w/ 2 coats of the Mopar orange and dropped it.

I used plastikote in the past and had good luck with it, but the last 2 I did I tried the POR brush on stuff. Brushing engines is kind of a pain with all the nooks and crannies , but It's supposed to be very durable, I'm hoping it lasts longer than spray bombs. I'll have to wait and see.

Both the Hemi Orange and Chrysler blue are a little lighter than the Plastikote versions I thought though.
