Posted this up at another site but still looking for answers
I had a chance this weekend to use my new HF blast cabinet and it was just that a blast to use. I got it just before Christmas along with a 5.5 hp 240 volt compressor. Both worked great. I took the time when putting the cabinet together to make sure it was sealed up tight both with the cheap foam stripping they supplied and running a bead of sealer around all seams on the cabinet. Hooked up my vacuum and all was good. First thing I blasted was my seat tracks and again it was all good.
The problem I had was light in the cabinet even with the one that was included with the cabinet it was not bright enough. I bought a couple 27 LED magnetic flashlights and stuck them on the inside top of the cabinet and that helped. Just wonder if anybody has ideas for a brighter light for the cabinet. The other problem I have is the plastic covers for the inside of the cabinet that goes on the window. They lasted about half a seat track. Should they last longer? Is there a better way to protect the glass? Is it something I'm doing? Or just the way it is and I should invest in a lot of cheap protective film.
Words from Master Blasters is much appreciated.

Pot a 2' floescent fixture in the cabinet. Make a cover from expanded metal do you don't smash the bulb if you hit it (and you will!).

Call up a plastics distributor and tell them you want a 4 x 8 sheet of clear PETG around .015" thick (should be around $20.). Cut yourself a bunch of lense covers out of it.

The bigger blast cabinets have a metal gang boxs and plain old flood lights in the corners..They get dirty you just reach up and dust them off...In the back of the HF parts book there used to be a part number for the bulk box of plastic covers with adhesive strips already attached if you can't find any locally...

I use regular single strength glass on the inside of mine, back to back with a sheet of 1/8" plexiglas to the outside (should the inside glass shatter). I haven't broken one yet and they hold up much longer than plastic.

I have a large viewing area on mine and all I did was use a old florescent desk lamp head like the one in the pic. I put that on the outside of the glass and its bright as day inside/ no dust to worry about in the light. lots of room to see around it, never have any dark areas inside.
