Installed 1.03 bars in my car and wonder if I did it right. Had them in the first time and could hardly get the adjuster in, but did after lots of effort. The car sat way too high. I pulled the bars back and put the lower arm in a turn to make it easy to put the lower arm in. Now I have to crank the adjuster almost all the way to achieve proper ride height. Is this good or have I done something wrong?

This is a problem PST bars have with their clocking. Check and see if you have ANY clocking with your hexes front to rear. They have since addressed this problem and all their new bars are clocked right, if yours are not I would send them in to get replaced with the new ones.

It's easy really, compare the clocking from the bars you are replacing- they should be the same, those bars aren't stiff enough to have no offset. Pictured are .92/1.0" a body bars You also need to be aware of the fact that stiffer bars require less preload, so you will have to back the adjusters off to retain the same ride height, I've found it best to just back the adjuster screw off until it doesn't protrude from the adjuster during the installation. Lastly, you can install the bars incorrectly, front to back and they will not have the correct ride height- due to the offset of the hexs on the bars.

You cant put them in wrong. Think about it, the crossmember hexes are always the same, so flipping the bar end for end will change nothing.

Pst now makes the bars with 20 degree offset. Mine have 0. They will exchange at no cost, just shipping of course.
