How hard are the injectors to change out in a 05 Ram? Mine are starting to get weak and I can't take a chance on them any longer. I found some online for 200 each. A place out of FL called Diesel logic.

Thanks. I still like to have a service manual to refer to torque specs, valve lash and such. I bet 5 and 6 are tough, though.

The youtube video was showing a 06 or 07 truck. Your valve cover is a little different on your 05. Yours will have a lower valve cover plate to remove to get the wirirng out of the way and will give you better access to prying the injectors out. Also dont worry about not having the supply tube removal tool. They come out pretty easily with a little wiggling and tugging. I use a small set of angled needle nose pliers too grab them behind the threads and pry them out. Be very careful tightening the electrical connections to the injector. It is very easy to twist the stud off of the top of the injector.

I think I can do it pretty easy. The hard part is deciding which injectors to buy. Rebuilt Bosch or new! Where is the best place to buy them?

I installed a set of "cheap" injectors provided by a customer one time.... and it pumped fuel into the crank case. Make sure you keep an eye on the oil level after performing this.

....we ordered new O rings from Cummins and all was well....except for the additional labor of doing it twice. You could see four of them slowly pooling fuel up around the base of the injector while it was running. The new O rings were obviously a larger diameter than what came on the supplied parts.
