I just got my 383 block back from the machine shop, and noticed the distributor/oil pump bushing is not there. Does anyone have a part number for this? Where would be a good place to get it from? Do they need to be "sized" after installation, or do they just press in? Thanks in advance, Bob

They are listed from any Mopar Performance dealer but I really like the ones sold by Pioneer--they do not wear like the Mopar units--seems like for the last few years any engine we tear down that had the Mopar supplied unit has scooring on shaft and wear--we always size them after install so they were not too tight but the Pioneer made ones don't seem to do that and they usually do not need any resizing/honing etc best to use and old oil pump shaft to install it with--you can grind the teeth off and use it even if a cam is in the block--a little notch ground into the shaft with a cut off wheel will "ream" it out to size usually if it is tight

The Pioneer one's also don't need the special tool to seat and burnish them.

If you use the OE replacemt/MP type as I did its really important to use a factory style installation/sizing/burnishing tool. It expands the bushing to make it tight in the block and gets the ID correct to prevent scoring.

I can't find the Pioneer bushings on O'Reilly's site? Who else carries them?
