70gtx440dana master Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 3,530 Lansing, MI	No.....F440 HP blocks were made for about 1 calendar year. Cast dates started approx. around May 1969 and went to May 1970. Engine assy dates started approx. July 69 and went to July 70. Of course there are always exceptions....please take the info above as a general guide. Best way to confirm if you have an actual "F" 70 engine is to look at the VIN# just above the oil pan rail and all of the info stamped into the top pad. Casting dates can sometimes be misleading.
