Two broadcasts found in my car. One under the carpet behind the drivers seat and one taped behind the glovebox. The one that was taped under the dash has HOLD written on the backside. Anyone know what that would mean? I hope someone restores this Satellite to orginal specs. You'd have the only one like it at a car show.

Another oddity on this car....did they make different styles of taillight lens for 1971?

Left lens has a backup light in the center and right one doesn't. They both have the same part number. Bezel for the left one IS in the trunk, and it fits the lens, so..............

Solved one mystery!
I removed the right lens and someone had just painted it red from the inside.

Hi guys, I bought the car from a guy in MO, i live in Arkansas. Anyway, iv'e been trying to get hold of TO MANY MOPARS? NO LUCK.
A question was brought up about Stripes etc, A45 over rear window.
It's on the vin as an option, and from the vin, its 1 of 2 SSP'S from G plnt, with them, on vin.
only 2 made ev2 tor red-hemi orenge so the vin go's, via GAVIN GOVIER..

the lens on one side was painted,??? over clear center, i Restored it, and looks new...

I saw it listed on e bay a while back....guy was trying to make plenty on it from what he gave me for it.

1st....when did an 8 1/4 rear become a dana 60?
390 documented miles? Where did you come up with that? I put that many miles on it myself . Engine is numbers matching...trans. is a cobbled up pos that I changed the tailshaft housing on because it was broken.

Stored inside for 39 years? Original owner bought it for his son? You must be a great detective. The car sat out in the Wyoming weather for at least 6 years that I know of after it hit the tree....

p.s. Your front seat came out of a 72 Charger...I know because I installed it myself. Where were you when I was begging to get $1,400 for the car?

Interesting, the car is now on ebay and the story has changed again. Now it was stored for 40 years and purchased from a dealer's wife. Somehow the 72 charger seat that Dwain installed has become a factory prototype 73-74 seat installed from the factory. It only has 8 option codes on the tag, 2 of which are standard on any SSP and 5 commonly found on Satellites and only the wing option being unique, but somehow it has 7 options you couldn't get on a Satellite. The hood pins mentioned are not even coded on the tag.

Looks like Mikemyke is a bigger con man and BS artist than I thought. He knows that he is grossly misrepresenting the car, but evidently he has bidders that believes his story! I only got $1,400.00 for the same car and his auction is now over $5000!!!

Sorry Mikemyke....you are a disgrace to moparts.com and to the mopar community in general. SORRY to expose you some more but my integrity is worth a lot more than the difference in price that I got VS what you are getting for being a drama queen and a con man.

And according to the seller it will only take $700 to make it a "new car" including paint, body work, and interior upholstery
