I actually took the 360 out to put a set of decent rods in it, and some more cam. I'm putting a Dana in the car so switching from the 3.23 gear to the 3.55 will require some more RPM on the big end (looking for around 6500 now). But I bought a pair of Gen 3 hemi's cheap so I can start putting one together. They are 5.7's, but with some boost they will make PLENTY of power. I am not sure what I'm doing yet. I just thought that I'd drop it in to see how it fits... manifolds fit nearly perfect, and the trans looks like it will bolt right up to the stock location. It'll drop in pretty easy. I mostly wanted to see how the manifolds fit, and they are perfect. They are a nice 3" outlet too, so they will support a ton of power. You are correct, I flipped the heads left to right to make the manifolds fit. We'll see... unless someone comes along and buys the 360 here, it'll probably be at least another year before I do anything with the hemi. Sure looks good in their though....

You got my attention!!! I'm surprised the car front cover actually fit? IIRC when you swap heads from side to side there maybe an oiling issue? Can't remember what it was. Possibly a drain back issue. Can't wait to see it run. Matt

Why not put a phord 9" in it considering the limited gear ratios with a Dana for a turbo car...

Could the heads be redrilled for the opposite side manifold pattern? Those look like they fit really well, like they were made for going around the steering box. Ever thought of finding a Dana 61? They had a 3.07 gear ratio and only differ abit from the Dana 60. They were found in 1st gen Cummims with the 727

I was going to do a 5.7 turbo, having been inspired by your 360. Since my Cuda is an original 440 car, and to simplify things, I'm sticking with the big block, so the 5.7 stuff I bought is available. 2003 5.7 long block, plus 2 6.1 cranks, and a truck timing cover. I thought the high mount alt. might help pipe routing, but who knows. Keep the updates coming, I love reading about that thing !

Very nice Is it auto or manual? What induction are you using? Looks like a tight fit. I didn't realise there so wide

I was told the rockers are the same. Just pedestals are taller.
.650" might keep it from being an ultimate race head, but they are pretty good for a factory casting. The 6.4l heads can be had for $1500 complete, flow 340cfm un ported, use stock rocker arms to 8k rpm(drag pack guys), have a factory block that can take 1000hp, and a 6.1L crank can keep up at that power level for a few hundred bucks.
Pretty hard to beat for most guys.
Steff's 6.1l headed motor made 780hp on pump gas with a hydraulic roller. The lift can't be holding them back too bad.
I'd take a $1500 340cfm head at .650" over a $3500 330cfm indy at. 750" all day.... Lol
330 on who's bench? Maybe with a 4.25 bore fixture.LOL Castings are much better quality too!
