Havent posted here for awhile..but my W8 small block is going byebye..looking to get into something with a lot less maint and hassel at the track but still have some good power.
Looking at building 572 inch Hemi.I want to run E-85 something in the 850 to 900hp range with little street duty.I called Barton and priced the StageV big valve heads and the SR.On the block they recommended the cast world block..they said it was hit and miss on the aluminum.I would rather run the aluminum for the weight savings, but the Indy max block would work just don't know much about them.
Would like to know any thoughts good or bad anybody with similar combos?I am going to run the Barton shaft rockers and his Intake for sure.
Thanks

Tell Ray to hook ya up with a KB block and Millennium heads.
They told me KB blocks are 6 to 8 month wait..and I don't want to go crazy if I was I would get the M head
That's way too long to wait for a stinkin' part.

Go as big as your budget allows. It really doesn't cost any more. My 605 is 10.4-1 and runs on pretty much anything you put in the tank. Heads are a bit small but it still makes 853hp@5800 and 818ftlbs@4800. I drive everywhere and IF I drive it real nice it can crack 10mpg. Dave

I will sell you one of my 700hp pump gas engines, so I can pick this one up:

I would buy this for sure. I bought my used motor from Tank Crosswhite. He has Tim build his motors with all the best parts. Why wait for parts and fight a new build when this is a proven motor. Call Tim at FHO and ask him about this motor. He will answer all your questions. When i bought mine from Tank I called Tim and felt very comfortable buying it. Tim even gave me a build sheet for the motor. You cant build a motor this cheap.

I talked to Tank ayear or so ago about a 572 he had for sale..and yes I seen that engine for sale on RJ.Would like to have a similar deal that 572 Charger runs but with a aluminum block.I want to run in the low nines without a problem, which I think should be a piece of cake.
I had a 572 wedge in the car back in 2001 and it would go 9.30's with a -1 head.
also looking at a F2 procharger deal also for hemi or even a wedge.

Hemi heads outflow the -1 heads easily....Car will be faster at the same weight just based on that alone. An F2 even on an engine as small as my 484 will be 1400hp...kiss low 9's goodby, and say hello to 8's...The problem is packaging one of those into an engine bay...And the cost...$$$
