I have a relay part number 3513472 that I just pulled from a 72 Charger dash. My 71 Charger has hidden headlights. Does anyone know if this relay is correct for the hidden headlights? If it is not correct, does anyone have the part number that I need to look for?
Thanks

The '71 and '72 parts books both show part# 3513489 for the relay.

Your number did not appear in either book, but that is not unusual. That is because sometimes the number on a part is not the actual part# it is serviced/sold under.

I looked in my '71 service manual for a picture of where the relay is located. No pic but it did say "A relay and circuit breaker assembly is mounted to the instrument panel lower reinforcement, left of the steering column."

Are they not working? In my 300 it wasn't the relays, but the switch that prevented the headlights from flipping open. Probably wouldn't hurt to check, if you haven't already.

ex-Ford guy, but Mopars nowadays

I can't help you out with the part numbers but if you are just looking at getting it working, here's a wiring diagram that shows how to wire in a simple 5 post Bosch style relay and a circuit breaker. I can't take credit for this but also cannot remember where I got it from either.

Note: that 87A on the relay is the NC connection and is connected to the closed terminal on the motor.
