Back up about 50 years and I rode to high school in a truck like that. Just (a lot) taller and rougher, though. The owner traded it in on a new 66 Dodge 1/2 ton long bed with a 318 and 4 speed. He and I used to drive tow trucks back in the day and now he owns that towing outfit.

I'd rather have something I can drive. I don't trust air bags, seen too many fail to feel comfortable with them. Mine was low enough the bottom of the front bumper was scrapped up pretty bad, and the front lower edge of the running boards were beat up pretty bad. Gene

OK - is that yours? If so, how did you get the rear so low? I have a customer with a '60 Town Panel that wants to lower it but if I flip the axles he will have less than 2" of travel and i am afraid it will bottom out on the slightest bump

The leaf springs mount to the outside of the frame, If you remount the spring perches higher on the frame, (I think upside down works) it will lower the rear about 1/2 the amount flipping the axle does. Not the lowest, but better then standard. Gene
