Hey guys,
My brother has a 71 Demon he would like to buy a bumper to bumper wiring harness kit for. Its a 1995 360 Magnum, 727, and 8-3/4 car with no ac. Only things on the car that won't be stock are a aftermarket tach and an MSD electric ignition (aftermarket distributor). I know that painless has a kit. Who else do you guys recommend?
Thanks in advance, Brian

Brian, The engine harnesse will have to be modifyed for the use of what you are refering to but the best harnesses are made by this vendor http://www.wiringharness.com/ but only Year One sells them if they havent made a new deal ! This is the only one i know of that makes the under dash to firewall to and i have never had a sad moment instaling those becas al fitts right in and they are made just like the original ones whit hangers and al so they are realy good.

I bought a harness from Evans for a 69 Dart with Mopar electronic ignition already added to the harness, so they are out there.

Yes, get some spools of wire of ALL of the gauges/lengths/colors of what your old harness has & some brass NAPA packard 56 terminals # 725145 and 725147. Set the old harness on your kitchen floor & make a new harness right next to it one wire at a time. Set a wire on the floor & crimp/solder on terminals on the end & cut off the same wire on the old harness next to it till the old harness dissappears & the new identical one takes shape. TAKE NOTES on locations/routing details etc. Can go 1 gauge smaller (larger wire) on most of the wires. USE the EXACT colors/colors with tracers as OE or it WILL bite you in the ass later on down the line when you are tracing out circuits. Holler if you need help on getting the old terminals out of the connectors. Scrub the bakelite connectors in soap/water to clean em. EDIT Forgot to add that 1 gauge smaller (smaller wire) is 2 numbers larger (larger gauge #) IE 16 gauge is the next size smaller wire than 14 gauge wire. No odd numbers

Thanks for the help guys. Is there anyone out there that rebuilds or restores existing harnesses? I have a couple full sets of harnesses, I was just hesitant to use them due to age. But $750-800 is a little steep right now. Any other options?
