Is a 4777 (650 DP) primary metering block the same as a 4779 (750 DP) primary metering block??? If not, what are the differences?

Which List #, IE 4777, 4777-2 or?/ carb. do you have? Go to Holleys web site technical pages and look up the part numbers for the metering blocks to see if thier different or the same The early models did not have four corner idle, the newer ones do

Dont know the answer..but aftermarket metering blocks fit all the 4150 double pumpers 600 to 850...they are not specific on what carb they fit.

that might be a clue.

Thanks guys. The carb is a 4779-2. It has been converted to a 4-corner idle with new baseplate. I haven't been able to get a response from the secondary idle mixture screws. Just noticed today that the secondary metering plate is for a 4777 (a 650 DP). Not sure if that's why I can't get the idle mixture screws to kill the engine or not. Just kinda brainstorming. Wondering if a secondary metering block from a 750 DP would make any difference..

Any ideas??? I plan on calling Holley tomorrow but just wondered what you thought.

The idle air bleeds in the secondary side need to be changed when going to 4 corner idle.

the idle air bleeds on the secondary side are the same size as the primary side. They're the ones on the top outside of the main body, right?
