Anyone know of anti-corrosion sprays or dip-type coatings for aluminum carburetor parts that can be applied by a do-it-yourself-er?

Especially with the prevalance of ethanol-blended pump fuel today, I'm concerned that the aluminum parts in many aftermarket carbs which used to be made of a zinc alloy (e.g., main bodies, metering blocks, float bowls) are more likely to suffer the corrosive effects of modern fuel.

I don't care if the spray or coating changes the part's color, if it serves an anti-corrosion purpose. Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks,
Brad

There is a gentleman here in the Seattle area that rebuilds carbs as a sideline. He works at a boat marine repair shop. Iv seen 2 sets of Hemi carbs that he has rebuilt. He sprays the carb bodys with a anticorrosive marine coating that looks factory when dry. Sorry I cant remember his name. Maybe a call to your local marine repair shop would help.
