340SHORTY OP Truck Nut Joined: Aug 2003 Posts: 12,291 Kent, Wa	Spent the afternoon riding around in my friends 01 Cummins Quad Cab 4X Dually. He is approaching the 200,000 mile mark. We were discussing about if the rack needs to be adjusted like the the big trucks.. What say yee ??? I am truckless..

Running the rack was a more common term on detroit and other mechanical injected diesels. The rack was ran off the governor and there were several steps that were critical to the engines operation.
