Doing that on the track and the street is two way different things. Seen data from a few of those cars. Several of them make 4 sec laps on the street at better than 2800lbs

They are certainly "getting it done" if they can make them hook without glue.

Can any of them make a fast car w/o 300hp of N2O?
Why don't you go show them how it's done. You get anything with enough ass to make it run in the high 4 sec range N/A and I guarantee I can get your chance to show it on TV
Monte
I think I will get pretty dang close with my Arrow if I ever get the new motor finished. low 5s at least
Big difference between a 5.10 and a 4.80 pass. Like a few car lengths.

so what they don't make perfect passes every time, and I bet half the field is not close to the 4s

Plus MOST of the guys here set up for the track... just need to start setting up on the street... yeah might take different tires and chassis set up... but they do it so can you

Back to the comment about the cars being all chevy powered but Varleys. I thought that Chief had said that his Pontiac had a Jim Butler performance Pontiac block. BTW I love the show, entertainment with some fast cars!
Chiefs is Pontiac powered but he is not on the list right now, in the show.

He said "half the field"..........I never said Farmtruck was close to that fast, but the top 6 cars are really fast. Chucks Mustang is number 6 and the fastest small tire car on the list. I know for sure how fast the top 6 cars have been and also Farmtruck. Derrick, Varley and Andrade, I don't know for sure. Derrick and Andrade are both small blocks with plates and Varley is a BBF with a couple kits.
There are you tube videos of most all these guys running at the track at some time or another that show the scoreboards. Some are faster now, some are not.
#1 Daddy Dave....the Sonoma....big tire, 632 spread port with 3 foggers #2 Murder Nova....big tire, Pro-Charged big block #3 Doc....Monte Carlo....big tire, now has a 5.0 bore space big block with 3 kits #4 Monza....Split bumper Camaro....big tire, 598 big block with 2 foggers #5 Dominator....Dodge Dart....big tire, 632 big block with 2 foggers #6 Chuck....Mustang....small tire, small block 2 kits
These 6 are pretty damn fast, so get in where you fit in.......LOL!!!

Daddy Dave has posted on the Bullet that the truck has run 4:40's. The rest of them can't be too far behind.

Are you guys going beat this thing over the head every week?
Murder Nova has not completed Drag Week, doubt it even went 50 miles, and there is nothing wrong with that, stuff happens.
I grew up in Oklahoma, I street raced in Oklahoma. I get calls every week from my friends here in AZ, who ask me if all the crazy antics are "made for TV", and I have to explain that those are just "Okies being Okies"!
4.40's, 4.80's, 5.20's, 5.60's, 6.20's blah blah blah... who cares, it's an eighth mile race on an unprepared surface, so that time slip you got one night when the track had teeth and mine shaft air doesn't really matter.
I enjoy the show, it's fun to watch, the characters are compelling, and the cars are fast...what's to complain about?
