I dont know what the piece's are called off the Transmission that the rods from the shifter attach too. One end has a round hole for the rod and the other a rectangle/square hole to attach to the tranny.

Now, I have a 70 Road Runner that needs those piece's and I guess there diffrent car to car so which number do I need to find for my car so that its correct and function's right.

Thanks!

You need the shift levers, they need to match the brand and year of the shifter your using It wouldn't suprise me that there are some 4 speed parts like the shift levers that are the same for a few years like the B body shifters with bench seats using the standard OEM Hurst shifters. Mopar change the tailshaft cases, housings, in 1970 so they would fit both the B and E body cars so yours may be a one or two year only part

Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

If using a long pistol grip shifter you also need to use the right shifter mechanism & I think the rods maybe different also for the long pistol grip.

I won the correct shifter last nite on E-bay with the rods (although Im not sure the rods are 70 b-body correct) The shifter assembly is correct with the right 7174 lever.
