Just wanna say beautiful car you have there.
As for a tow rig, I have a 2011 F450(boo now)CC Dually 4X4 and it tows my 28' trailer with no issues. Recent trip to Oklahoma and back netted me 14MPG with the cruise at 75 even on all the hills. never an issue. IMO buy more trailer than you THINK you need.
As for a dually being a daily driver. It is all I have owned for the last 13 years and they have all been my daily drivers. mostly in California where all parking lots and spaces are small. They fit in most parking structures and once you get used to driving one you wont go back.

Gorgeous car . As for the truck, stick with what you have altho for pulling what you have in mind I would prefer a dually. For WAY less than the price of a new truck you can go thru the one you have and add an air ride rear suspension. That will take the John Deere right out of it. With the exception of MAYBE a 3408 Caterpillar, nobody has ever built a V8 diesel that will go the distance so your only option is Cummins and everything built after Oct '03 is junk no matter who builds it. JMHO. As long as you never let Rhino near your truck there are a few hundred thousand miles of faithful service left in it. Kevin

I love my 07 6.7 cummins. I get 23-24 empty on the freeway. 16 towing my 24' enclosed. Not sure if you have emissions testing where you live but the best thing you can do to the newer cummins is to find a programmer that will allow you to delete the DPF and the EGR system. Your motor will be a much happier engine and give you much better power and mileage. I really like the newer auto as well. Mine is a 6 speed and with the the factory exhaust brake makes driving it so nice and braking a ease..

Thanks for all the comments guys.
I would have replied sooner, but I have been sick as a dog these last few days with some kind of flu like bug. I haven't been this sick in many years and it really beat me down. Still feel pretty rotten, but I am on the mend and hope to be back to normal by mid week.

Well I went and did it. Picked up a new 2013 Laramie 2500 4x4 and brought it home last night.
I am a happy camper! First new truck I have ever owned. Up until now, it was always used trucks for me and new cars for the wife.

Dave, glad to see the car finally done! This is what I tow with, a 2004 3500 single wheel 4x4 Cummins automatic shortbed quad cab and a 32' LQ Millenium trailer. I bought the trailer for the wifegod so she would go with me!

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.
