'72 Road Runner. Both backup sockets are totally rusted out and came out of the plastic taillight housing. They can be repaired. Is there a source for the sockets only or do I need a new taillight harness? The backup sockets are 2 wires and have one contact unlike the brakes which have 3 wires and 2 contacts. THX

I used late model plastic sockets. Did some grinding with a Dremel for fit and epoxyed them in. The sockets that I used were from a mid 90's S-10. Autozone & O'Reilly's have a large selection of socket pigtails. You may find something that will work there.
