I have seen posts/discussions in the past, but, could not find any regarding A body glass dashes. Anybody making them? Is the quality/cost decent? I am looking for a 67-69 Dart dash, and will be incorporating a Racepak dash, so, it will have additional glass work performed anyway. Thanks in advance for any company/contact info that you could provide.

Chris

I am IN on that production ..,. Got a FG dash from a competitor in my van as we speak going to Florida just after thanksgiving.. The dash that they made was TWO PiECES(believe it or not - THEY expected the customer to put it together!!...lol) .... It needs that work plus basic plug massage (like in the flat to make gauge install cleaner and easier) to make it nice to pull a mold off it . I'll be back in Florida to look at a MUCH smaller condo-type commercial building that is just going to have to do for now. Plans are to make 2 or 3 molds for this dash so there will never be (hopefully) a supply problem ....

I bought a dash from WS Fiberglass YEARS ago.....

It was a piece of junk.....that is until Korek Design got their paws on it. Now, it looks like it was made by the hand of god.

Even though it cost a few extra beans to get it to this point, it's light and looks GREAT.

one for a 73-76 dart would be of interest to me,don't know what the fitment difference would be from a 67-69 dart or 70-72 models.

How much weight is really at stake here? I've thought about this but our dash shells are pretty light as it is

I think it was something like 15 lbs give or take for a fully loaded dash to a fibergalss one when I did it about 8 years or so ago. The stock dash solves many mounting issues, at least the fiberglass dash I had was a major pain to get mounts made up that were still semi light and then there was the whole gauge mounting issue. One nice thing was I split mine in half and put all the elctronics on the firewall of the pass side and only that half needed to be removed if needed.

Outcast Dodge guy.

I have a local company that is going to be using my dash to make a 67-69 Dart mold, and will post pics of the final product. Please be patient, as I was told that mine will be done quickly, but, no mass production will take place for, at least, 3-4 months. Just thought I would let you guys know.

Not the best pics, but, here is the "Guinea Pig"

The pics do not do the contours/lines justice, as the dash came out real nice. (Total weight...4 pounds)

I need to gauge how much REAL interest there is for these, and will produce them accordingly. If you are interested, send me a PM.

Price will be $200.00 for the dash, as it appears in the pic. (Anything extra will have a slight add in price)

Thank you,
Chris

I have a '72 Duster drag car that I need a dash for so it looks like something I could use.

Are you molding them with the instrument cluster open like that or can you mold it solid? The factory setup isn't very easy to work with for custom gauges so it would be nice to just have a blank panel there.

Yes Sir! (Would just need to fill in the speedometer area, as that is the only difference between the two)

Andy - We can mold it solid. I agree with your comment about the factory setup...lol. I did it this way, to show that the factory gauge cluster, etc., could still be used.

Thank you,
Chris

X2

We have a 70 Dart
would be interested a solid gauge panel
So we could custom mount the needed guages

When could one be available?
good timing for US
while we have the car apart

Thank you for your response. I am trying to gauge the interest, and get a head count, as to how many people are interested. I have to commit to a certain number, in order to start producing them, and, to be perfectly honest, I was not sure how many people would be interested. If I have enough people that are interested, I could have the dashes made/completed, in as little as two weeks. I will keep all of you posted.

Thank you,
Chris

Hi Chris. I need to talk to you about a solid one. Are you going to Fontana for the NMCA west race next weekend?
