The last one I just did was a 73 for sure and the other one I have here is for a 70...I never look close at to see the stamped dates yet, but I think it's original to the car.

Any suggestions as what to use on the metal parts after beading/cleaning? Clear paint, silver paint, epoxy paint, natural metal, etc? What type for the black, satin, gloss, or flat? Bare or clear the heater box? Thanks in advance!

OK..I'm putting my box back together and I'm stumped. Where does this gasket go? Thanks, Joe

That looks like the gasket for the heater tubes. It seals the box to the firewall.

Thanks guys. I'm sure Jim has it on the instruction sheet that he sent with the kit but the Gremlins have taken it somewhere. You know the ones...they're always taking bolts, screws, tools etc. I had put it on and it fit but I looked back through my gaskets and realized that mine was the circular type in the photo that Jules has so I swapped it out. I didn't have one this shape in my stuff so it threw me off a little. Thanks again, Joe
