VON - Vehicle Order Number with "A11" - meaning?

Hello, I have a VON that reads as follows (from broadcast sheet): "A11" and "100710". Was this a special vehicle order? If so, what does this mean? This is from my 1972 'Cuda with the V21 option. Thanks!

Lets see the tag. A01 could be light group or October 1st SPD.

He said the VON, not the VIN, was 100710. I agree with Greg. Probably October 11 scheduled production date. I don't think A11 is a valid sales code for '72.

My door sticker does read October 1971. So, it must mean October 11, 1971 as stated. Didn't "A11" in front of the six digit VON mean something different on the 1970 & 1971 broadcast sheets?

i`m guessing at 811 as well-why would the 710th scheduled car to be made end up on oct 11th two months after production begins...something not quite right here...pics please

Not to drag this out too far: but, the "100710" was from the dealer's ordering pad? Has anyone correlated these order numbers in order to find out which dealer was sent this order pad? Did Chrysler have a system or were they just sent out to the dealers randomly?

Randomly but through reverse engineering, you can see patterns in different parts of the country when you match up VONs to dealer invoices, window stickers etc.
If you had enough data, I suppose you could come up with a pattern for an approximate distribution through back-tracing the information.

Which is one of the reasons why it is so important to share information with people that are willing to do this type of research.
There are some of us that are fascinated with tags, broadcast sheets, dealer paperwork and other dealer and factory documents. They help form a picture of how, when and why things were done. With enough data, patterns DO appear giving all of insight on different aspects of our cars.
We're willing to do the work if people share the info.
