68 26" radiator part number is 2898069. Original shroud is plastic.
Can't help with where to obtain one though!

How about a good source to buy one thats not 1200$$. Thats crazy. I could never bring myself to pay 1200 for a rad. I mean it looks a nice piece but for that kinda money it should come with a gold nugget!!!!
A used one will run you $600 and you might have to pay to record it
or you could by a new modine for 300 with no numbers on it.. your options are limited. you got to pay to play with numbers

If you want "cheap" and "available", drive a Chevy and run with the pack. It costs money to be the lead dog.

the part# is 2898047 for a gtx or r/t with a 440 26" radiator
I thought it took the 2898048?
Or is that just with the Hemi or a 4-speed or a performance axle package?

Are 492 and 358 axle packages?
My '68 rr is a 383, A/C, auto with a 3.23 Suregrip which for sure isn't a performance axle package even with Suregrip
Seems that the original 047 radiator was correct for my road runner

Now that I need a 26 inch radiator I need a part #. Without breaking the bank who's got em. I seen 1 for 1200$$ thats not going to happen. I want a stock copper rad. no aluminum. Also will need shroud is it metal in 68 or plastic. Thanks Larry J
Larry did you post what trans and axle package you have so you get or look for the correct radiator. I know that 047 are just as much repo wise but easier to find used
