Have a 92 B250 van with a rusty battery tray. Mine is quite rusty...and battery trays are welded in...figured Id go to boneyard and just unbolt one and put it in mine.

Looks like I'll have to do some surgery...anyone already deal with this in their van. Curious as to what others have done...

I'd get one from the dealer and figure out how to bolt it in. Couldn't be that hard to do.

I wonder if that can be had for a 22 year old van? I think I can make an aftermarket one work as well...couldn't believe it was welded in at factory...

I just made my own out of a 72 Nova quarter panel. Not original but holds the battery just fine.
I used self tapping bolts and a scrap piece of angle for a brace. Cleaned the area up and painted it...


Here's the tray installed.


I have mechanical Aptitude.
I can screw up anything.
