Yes it can be done, I've seen it done several times on here. I agree with you, I'm not fond of the later front nose either, as I used to have a 74 Dart. Not sure if you need fenders, but I know you need hood, grill, bumper, lower valence, brackets. If memory serves, some fab work is necessary but mostly just drilling some holes for the different brackets and such to match up. The hardest part is finding good 70-72 donor parts.

Just use the entire front clip from a 70-72. Hood, fenders, hood latch support, grille, bumper, and valance.

I'm no A-body expert, but I believe the taillights and rear bumper/bumperguards are different also (but they are close) . Depends on how far you wanna go for the earlier look.
Parts I seek:
driver doorpanel, 65 Sport Fury, prefer black, needs to be 7-8 on 10 scale, might buy set
16" x 6" Dodge truck wheel(s), from early 70s?, takes 9" dogdish - need for a research job so cheaper is better.
69-73 C-body caliper brackets and/or splashields
Send a PM.

The rear end of a 73 is still the same isn't it? Or at least it's very very close, not the bleck style of the rear of the 74-76's.
73 is same...
I am in the process of doing just that...got all the 70-1 parts needed..... just have not strated it yet...
looking at the 73 fenders.. it looks like it might work if you change headlight buckets..but then this is only a obseration at this point... I am sure someone else will chim in!! hope it helps

Get the doors as well if you can. They look better with vent windows

But not as much of an issue as the nose.
