Has anyone compared the two?? The Pro Comp looks similar.

Is the Pro Comp a cheap Chinese rip off or pretty decent?

Their 2" billet carb spacer is nice, and works good!

I don't know about Pro Comp specifically, but some people here are (successfully) running cheap Chinese fuel pumps from ebay, I think they were $60 or less.

Keep supporting these Chinese copies and put your fellow American's out of work. The next thing you know the American companies fold, the employees have no money to spend and are standing in the bread line.
If this happens to enough businesses your job could be effected and thus you.
Never know who you may meet in the bread line

It's encouraging to see that I am not alone in my disdain for off shore products.
We all say we hate a thief , yet many continue to support these thieves. The copy American designed products shamelessly.
Sue them ? Ask BMW how the X5 suit turned out. It will be heard in a Chinese court and their bias is clear.
Everything you said is absolutely true , but saving 50 or 100 bucks seems to be more important than integrity or consideration of the realities this situation creates.
The American companies and individuals who make this all possible will be the last ones to feel the bite , but one day there could possibly be no more American aftermarket to copy.
A very few of the Chinese / Asian products are well made or use quality materials and processes..........Japan being a notable exception. But they pay their workers a living wage and this cuts into their competitiveness globally.
Most of that stuff is absolute garbage.........one more reason why it is so cheap.

I just bought a Holley, the box has no mention of being made in the USA on it. Maybe they forgot it while adding the french for Canada, or I paid an extra $80 for an American name and a pump that received a different sticker then the ProForm.

The Anti not made in the USA arguments have always intrigued me, I always wonder if you feel the same way about Canadian products.

That's why I asked. I have no desire to buy a cheap Chinese rip off product. Quality is long remembered after price is forgotten.

Then be aware that everything that I've seen that Procomp sells appears to be a pretty obvious copy of someone else's original product... only made with less attention to detail and often using cheaper materials.

LOL best part about this thread is the 90% who don't know what they are talking about.

The patents on the blue and black pumps went up a LONG time ago...Holley never renewed them, so whoever decides to copy them, its fair game now!

I am more than happy with my 2 holley black copycat pumps that I paid 89 bucks shipped to my door with a non return style regulator....Neither have given me a problem, and they actually flow pretty darn close to 140gph (I have tested mine)...I have used both on my car (thought the first one had crapped out, but the car was outta gas, DOH, was ready to jump on the anti-chinese band wagon) and had a problem with neither....figured even if they both died, didn't spend alot on them so who cares?

Now I can't say the same for the 12-803 regs that I have gone through like underwear because they are just JUNK, right from Holley! Or their piss poor customer service too! Im not fond of dealing with rude companies

When I bought A Holley regulator in the late 1970's or early 80's it said on the box that it was made in USA with "some parts from Japan". When I looked into it, the cast parts were made in Japan, probably the box was the only part made in the USA. And as Japan has become a high cost country, I know they have outsourced lots of their industrial products to China. Check the PC and audio/photo industry! So it could be that the knock off is the real thing..... bought the cheapest way.

That's quite a statement from a guy that asks as many questions as you.
